Rick's Brew

The file was modified in 2011 and I know I have performed this with a guitar. Possibly at Cafe Au Lait in Macksville

Rick's Brew

Rick arrived at the Bowra Hotel With a Casio on his shoulder

He's going to sing for us tonight After he fills his mouth with Pasta

He's going to try his best Rick's never done this before

He only knows a few chords But his words you'll adore

Come sing a long and be merry Cause the music's fit for any

(I've been told)

Only drink an ale or two So the cops don't get you

Rick's got a good mate Her name is Susie Smoothy

Doesn't drink or smoke or swear Has a friend called Julie

But we all look after each other That's what us Aussies do

You can always dance even if you don't like the brew

Come sing a long and be merry Cause the music's fit for any

(I've been told)

Only drink an ale or two So the cops don't get you

interlude

I had a friend once that use to drink and drive

He hit a bump spilled the coffee and almost survived

It was very sad for his pet Cockatoo

That done a did in Rick's brew

When Rick had a break it was time for a game of pool

Sober now for a year a champion he's so cool

Just ask the girls who are gallant in defeat

A lesson can be learned never trust a cheat

Come sing a long and be merry Cause the music's fit for any

(I've been told)

Only drink an ale or two So the cops don't get you
