Leongatha

The date on this file was in 2010. I may have intended to re write this or give it a new tile.

IN LEONGATHA

Spencer street is so tempting

When ever I hear the train

Although country life for me

Is much better for my brain

I see the Cows are heading west

And the wind is from Inverloch

Daylight savings has just ended

Time to turn back the clock

They dig for worms before dinner

Because it's a ritual in Leongatha

I sometimes want to get away

And other times I want to stay

McMartin street has gone silent

Don the Farm hand tells a yarn

It's the same story as the last one

He doesn't mean any harm

Autumn leaves are a warning

Cold weather is on the way

Football season has arrived

The Parrots are going to play

They dig for worms before dinner

Because it's a ritual in Leongatha

I sometimes want to get away

And other times I want to stay

I've tried digging for gold

But all I got was a bad back

A mate tried to help me

He went to get an ice pack

Autumn leaves are a warning

Cold weather is on the way

Football season has arrived

The Parrots are going to play
