The Mullet

This goes back to 2013 when I was living in Hyland Park. It could do with another verse but I gave up fishing!

The Mullet

Camped on the riverbank

I was disturbed by a splash

When nodding of to sleep

I had to get up in a flash

Something is out there

I intend to investigate

One theory is simple

Now all I need is bait

Chorus

It's called a Mullet

Dirty big and slimy Mullet

There will be tasty Tucker tonight

If everything goes to plan

I have the perfect hook

To be the envy of any man

It is a smelly hobby sport

At the end of the day you stink

But it's all worth the while

If someone else cleans the sink

But a thought crossed my mind

Because I'm on a holiday

It'd be a lot less work

For me to find a seafood Cafe

Chorus

Dying in the pan

Is my Dinner a la fry

Fish and Chips and citron

A healthy salad for me to try

Lester has arrived

A local with a patch

He's caught that slimy

thing that I tried to catch

Chorus
